Job Summary
The Environmental Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing environmental compliance, including permitting, reporting, notifications, stack testing, on-site environmental tasks, and waste manifests and storage for a subset of GAF commercial and residential sites. The person in this role will be the primary contact and provide environmental guidance and training for onsite personnel. This role will report directly to the Director of Environmental Compliance.
Essential Duties

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Air permit modifications and renewals

Air emissions inventories
-
Periodic air compliance reports
-
Managing stack tests, including securing a test contractor and submitting test protocols and reports

Air emissions monitoring assurance and records
-
Water permit modifications and renewals, including industrial wastewater, stormwater, and discharges to sewer
-
Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPP) updates and annual site compliance evaluations
-
Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs)
-
EPA SARA Tier II Reporting
-
EPA SARA Tier III Reporting (Toxic Release Inventory)
-
Supporting Environmental Inspections and Agency Data Requests

RCRA compliance, including review of manifests and waste characterization

On-site environmental training for plant personnel
-
Assurance of completion of on-site environmental tasks by plant personnel (Gensuite review)
Qualifications Required
-
Bachelor’s Degree of Science degree in engineering, environmental science, chemistry, or
biology is required Required -
8+ years of environmental compliance and permitting Required

Problem-solving using standard engineering/scientific methods

Ability to effectively adapt to changing needs and priorities while maintaining a positive attitude with a focus on client success

Consideration will be given based on geography, candidate experience, and qualifications.
Annual Salary Range: 126,000-161,000
