Environmental Services Team Lead

Cleveland Clinic’s Environmental Services Department is consistently among the highest-performing EVS teams in healthcare, and we’re looking to add an Environmental Services Team Lead to our team to create the comfortable and safe environment our patients have come to expect.
A caregiver in this position works 7:00am – 3:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Conduct general training for new caregivers in floor care, wall washing, carpet cleaning, and special procedures.

Clean patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces.

Follow policies and procedures on patient isolation.

Stock paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated.

Maintain cart and equipment in clean, working condition and store in appropriate storage area when finished with shift.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

High school diploma or GED.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others in coordinating multiple tasks.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

One year of experience in Environmental Services.

Leadership experience or experience providing work direction.

- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
- Ability to be mobile for extended periods of time
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information

- Ability to move/transport animals weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)
- Ability to inspect equipment
- Ability to clean, operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning products
- May come into contact with communicable diseases and/or body fluids
