Mimecast is seeking an experienced ANZ Enterprise Sales Director to serve as a key member and business leader within APAC leadership team. The Sales Director will serve as an influential leader, who will ensure business outcomes and Mimecast’s company culture by leading a high-growth, world-class, cyber-security SaaS Enterprise sales team.
This role requires a dynamic leader capable of crafting strategic initiatives that leverage our strengths across markets to drive significant revenue growth. The successful candidate will demonstrate a robust track record in scaling business operations and developing innovative, sustainable growth strategies. This individual will also be adept at nurturing key relationships and building collaborative networks with partners and stakeholders throughout the ANZ region.
This leader must bring the growth mindset and strategic ability to keep building and scaling the organization at pace, with a hands-on and entrepreneurial approach, leading the ANZ sales engine on the ground, driving cadence and sales discipline.
This position reports to the Senior Sales Director ANZ.
What You'll Do

Lead Mimecast’s business growth in ANZ, building on existing presence and supporting the opening of new markets across Enterprise.

Adopt a direct and hands on approach for the delivery of and driving increase revenues and profit targets for the region.

Develops, or participates with the senior staff, in the development of the Strategic go-to-market plan for large accounts within the territory.

Represent the ANZ Enterprise sales function on the APAC leadership team

Contribute to the development and execution of the Global and APAC business strategies and annual business plans

Establishes performance goals for all sales department employees, and monitors performance on a continual basis

Work closely with the other Revenue disciplines to maintain a tight operational cadence around pipeline creation, movement and forecasting

Develops and/or maintains and improves business relations with all customers, partners and other stakeholders in ANZ.

Build massive sales capacity and coverage, and develop a data-driven, metrics-centric sales operations function.

Leverage strong customer relationships, consistently collecting and providing feedback on customer needs, market trends, and opportunities for continuous process, product, and solution improvement.

Lead the sales team to acquire new and significant mid-market and enterprise-class customers across the region and Mimecast’s portfolio.

Continue to build the partner ecosystems and support other regional growth.

Represent the business in the region both internally with key stakeholders, and externally within the market.

Build credible, positive, and effective cross-functional working relationships with leaders at all levels of the organization, collaborating to continuously improve Mimecast’s ability to work at the highest potential and drive growth.

Align resources to ensure that the team is poised to work innovatively and grow the business. Serve as a catalyst for increased collaboration across the leadership team and business units.

Improve sales performance by constructing sales goals, quotas, and compensation plans, and develop world-class sales training and management programs.

Recruit top talent, inspire, lead, mentor, motivate, and instill operational rigor into the sales organization, to capitalize on the market opportunity for Mimecast.

What You'll Need
To be effective in this role, the Enterprise Sales Director will specifically have the following key pivotal experiences and expertise:
Enterprise Sales Experience –Demonstrated knowledge of business and commercial management and a strong record of driving sales and/or commercial functions.
Growth & Business Scaling –As well as knowing and understanding scale, this individual will have experience in building out and aggressively growing businesses. He /she must have experience in a company with a track record of achieving revenue targets, a history of designing and implementing go-to-market products, and a history of driving new business generation.
Channel & Partner Management–Experience developing and maintaining executive-level relationships with major Enterprise partners. The successful candidate will have worked with channel sales development, building and executing sales programs, and monitoring ROI.
ANZ Track Record - Proven success in managing a diverse and multi-faceted team and scaling highly-accountable organisations rapidly with success. Deep understanding of ANZ Enterprise markets and owning revenue.

Proven experience in successful sales management, and a proven track record of sales success in the Enterprise technology market.

A proven track record of success selling and managing a growing region (or multiple markets within a region), in the high technology-related software industry.

Previous experience in Cybersecurity (preferred), Networking or Enterprise Software.

A strong understanding of cloud and previous experience helping a company transition into the cloud, moving software from private to public.

Strong customer orientation, skilled at opening doors and understanding the business requirements of senior decision-makers. Experience managing key customer relationships and negotiating/closing strategic opportunities.

Familiarity and experience with both direct and indirect sales. Experience working closely with large channel partners.

Attention and orientation to detail, works well in multi-cultural environments, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Hands-on and entrepreneurial style, one that looks to become personally involved in all elements of managing their functional responsibility, and someone who seeks to develop complementary senior managers with similar capabilities.

Deep personal abilities in sales management, revenue and pipeline planning, forecasting, sales metrics, planning, reward strategy, and managing quotas.
