Job Description
As a valued colleague on our team, you will contribute to assessing and identifying potential risks that may threaten our reputation, safety, security, and/or financial success, as well as collaborate with team in communicating and collaborating with key stakeholders across the enterprise, and understanding business objectives
We have two openings for this position. The role is a Flexible Hybrid role, and can be worked from our Washington, DC or Plano, TX office.
THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Multifamily Enterprise Risk Senior Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
- Assist with oversight of the Multifamily business.
- Review and monitor Multifamily pre-acquisition, pricing, or portfolio activities and trends.
- Perform on-going file reviews to identify and evaluate the risks to Multifamily of new transactions and/or portfolio management activities and business decisions.
- Document and present findings and/or conclusions of analysis to key stakeholders and senior management in a thoughtful and persuasive manner.
- Build strong relationships across Multifamily and the Enterprise.
- Partner with Multifamily and other stakeholders to carry out business strategies that will drive success and ensure safety and soundness in the face of shifting market conditions and regulations.
Qualifications
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum Required Experiences
- 2 years of related experience
Desired Experiences
- Knowledge of the multifamily real estate industry
- Prior experience performing financial and trend analysis and reporting findings
- Prior experience with credit risk, loan quality analysis, compliance monitoring, or risk assessment and risk management
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Advanced Excel skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Multifamily or commercial real estate underwriting experience
- Experience with GSE lending
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
