Engineering Manager

What is this role about?

As the Engineering Manager, you will spearhead efforts to enhance the performance, scalability, and quality of our engineering team while also stabilizing and advancing our Loan Originations  platform. Your leadership will be instrumental in guiding and mentoring the team towards higher standards of qualification and development. By implementing efficient methodologies and processes, you'll ensure the quality and standardization of work across the engineering organization, driving operational efficiency and key performance metrics. Your role also entails clear and effective communication with stakeholders, ensuring everyone remains informed and aligned.

This role is located in our Tallinn office.

What would ensure success in this role?

• Utilize technical proficiency to enforce best engineering practices (i.e. code quality, security, scalability, CI/CD) while guiding engineers through technical challenges and decision-making.
• Demonstrate leadership skills by mentoring and managing engineers, fostering a culture of psychological safety, accountability, and continuous growth to drive high performance in cross-functional teams.
• Apply strategic thinking to balance engineering execution between operational stability (RUN) and innovation (CHANGE), ensuring efficient resource allocation and alignment with business goals.
• Employ problem-solving ability to identify, analyze, and mitigate system issues, improving uptime and proactively reducing self-inflicted bugs.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear alignment on engineering priorities, technical decisions, and business impact.
• Utilize strong project management skills to oversee engineering roadmaps, manage team workload distribution, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement by tracking engineering KPIs (quality, efficiency, uptime), identifying improvement areas, and implementing initiatives that enhance engineering effectiveness.
