About the Marketing Technology
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to join our Marketing Technology team. If you have prior experience as an Engineering and Manager and would like to help us build and maintain the secure, efficient system supporting the growth of the company, we encourage you to apply.
As a member of the Marketing Technology team, you will be responsible for mentoring and coaching the team of frontend engineers located in our offices in Singapore and Hong Kong. This role may require you to adjust to HK/SQ time zones by starting your work early in the morning EU time. You will become a Marketing Technology Leadership group member and will have a direct impact on our solutions, technical roadmap and improvements development.
Our team is partnering with product, content, security, localisation and other engineering teams.
What you will be responsible for
- Leading a team of up to 10 frontend engineers, providing mentorship and support to foster their growth and ensure high performance.
- Helping to develop roadmaps and architecture of delivered solutions.
- Helping to prioritize backlogs to ensure timely progression of projects and initiatives.
- Collaboration with other leadership group members to plan resource allocation and align with Marketing Technology and the company goals.
- Maintaining system integrity, including crucial technical metrics, SLOs, security and sustainability.
What you’ll do
In this role must-haves needed are:
- 3 years+ engineering management background and strong interest in building and operating secure, scalable and reliable software.
- Bachelors (or equivalent) education in a technology field
- Experience in modern JavaScript frameworks like React of Vue.js to be ready for technical discussions with Engineers / coding if needed.
- Deep understanding of concepts/principles such as, but not limited to, SOLID principles, Clean Code, Clean Architecture, and TDD.
- Excellent communication skills, willingness to work at the interface of business and technology.
- The ability to prioritize appropriately, negotiate with stakeholders, plan and think analytically.
- An approach focused on solving problems and unlocking business requirements while maintaining the high quality of the solutions created.
- Proficient in agile principles, able to assess team output, and provide guidance.
- A strong sense of ownership, outstanding problem-solving skills, a continuous desire to learn, and a positive disposition.
