As the Engineering Manager for our Integrations Platform team, you will lead a group responsible for developing and maintaining our SIEM and SOAR integrations, which are vital to empowering customers with API-based integrations for leveraging Abnormal’s advanced threat detection within existing workflows.

You’ll work closely with Tech Leads, Architects, and Product Managers to create an environment that empowers your team to effectively deliver on the technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs. You'll also focus on fostering team growth and cultivating a strong engineering culture that supports high performance and innovation.

What You Will Do:

Team Execution:

  • Create and track execution plans to deliver on project and roadmap goals.
  • Ensure alignment with company-wide processes and tools (such as JIRA), following established workflows and providing feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Manage quarterly roadmap updates, sprint planning, daily standups, and time estimates.
  • Identify and escalate risks (technical, operational, or dependencies) to appropriate leads.
  • Assess team progress with clear metrics and provide continuous feedback.

People Management and Growth:

  • Foster a healthy team environment with low attrition and high satisfaction.
  • Have the ability to attract and hire top-tier engineering talent and create an environment for them to thrive.
  • Actively manage team performance, providing feedback on strengths and growth areas.
  • Coach engineers and invest in their career development, addressing underperformance and rewarding excellence.

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Work with senior leaders to understand long-term objectives, shaping team goals and strategies.
  • Collaborate with Tech Leads, Product Managers, and Designers on product requirements and architecture.
  • Engage with senior leadership to help form quarterly OKRs and roadmaps.
  • Regularly share progress reports that instills confidence to the team and reflect the current state of the team, highlighting key people wins, risks, and areas of improvement.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 2+ years of engineering management experience, leading a team of 6+ engineers developing enterprise-level, customer-facing products.
  • 4+ years of product development leadership experience, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • 2+ years of experience leading full-stack teams in building scalable web applications.
  • High standards for project execution, ensuring your team consistently delivers top-notch results.
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Information Systems, or a related field.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with Abnormal’s tech stack (AWS, Kubernetes, Python/Django, React, Postgres).
  • Previous experience working in the cybersecurity domain.
  • Part of building teams by Defining long-term team needs and creating recruiting plans to meet them and owning the hiring process.
