Job Description
Experian Partner Solutions (EPS) is looking for an Engineering Manager who will play a key role in leading the planning, design and development of key initiatives. EPS is one of the fastest growing areas within Experian and we are looking for a technology leader who thrives in a fast-moving environment. The candidate will work very closely with product owners, architects, and engineering teams to deliver high quality, scalable, cloud-based technology solutions.
Ideal candidate will be a Hands-On Manager, who has expertise in building cloud-native applications, who is willing to spend part of their time in developing and testing enterprise grade software, and rest of their time in leading a high performing engineering team. Demonstrated experience in building highly scalable and performant services is a must.
Qualifications
- Lead development teams to deliver on-time, on budget, high value complex projects.
- Own the technical direction of a team, project or product area.
- Takes technical responsibility for all stages and/or iterations in a software development project, providing method specific technical advice and guidance to project stakeholders.
- Specify and ensure the design and development of technology solutions properly fulfills all business requirements, achieves desired objectives and fulfills return on investment goals.
- Lead the development team to ensure disciplines are followed, project schedules, risks and issues are effectively managed, and project stakeholders receive regular communications.
- Anticipate change management requirements and ensure effective solution adoption by ensuring appropriate knowledge transfer, training and deployment readiness.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Computer Science Degree or equivalent.
- 12+ years of working experience in an enterprise software development environment of which the last 5 years being in a team leader or a manager position.
- Experience with front-end development using JavaScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS, React/Redux, responsive design.
- Knowledge of PHP, REST API, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Databases.
- Knowledge of mobile application development landscape (Android and iOS)
- Knowledge on manual/automation testing best practices.
- Behavior driven design experience preferred.
- Experience with Agile Development practices.
- Experience in leading Development and QA teams together.
- Ability to comprehend and implement detailed project specifications as well as the ability to adapt to various technologies and simultaneously work on multiple projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills of different complexities required.
- Excellent proactive communications and planning skills
- Proven successful technical leadership of development projects.
- Strong people management and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent coaching and mentoring skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage own and others time.
