Engineering Manager - Sports

Scope/ General Profile 

Responsible for ensuring the architecture, deployment and development standards are in place to build, maintain and support the development of all Nielsen Sports development work done in India. Working with the Director of Data Engineering to support people management responsibilities, this will include collaborating on local HR, salary and benefit fairness and leveling and team mobility.

Business Expertise

Ensuring all development work done by the teams in the reporting line is scalable to specified traffic levels, meets Nielsen Security standards and best industry practicesEnsuring development work is of a suitable standard based on the lifecycle and requirements of the product and customers they support. Ensuring that engineering teams support their components in development using appropriate monitoring and alerting techniques to quickly and efficiently resolve any issues in productionSupporting engineering teams as and when necessary to ensure the technical work necessary to maintain the platform is suitably prioritized by the product team with the value and need for the work sufficiently communicated.
