The Commerce Financial Solutions group is looking for an experienced and passionate engineer manager to manage the team, processes and systems that hundreds of thousands of businesses rely on to manage their financial activities on Squarespace.

We are a cross functional group of accomplished people who build the experiences and services necessary to guarantee a reliable and delightful experience from the moment a shopper starts to buy a product from a merchant to the moment they receive their purchase. Our platform powers a wide array of products like scheduling, e-commerce, member area, subscriptions, point of sale etc. We believe that a great product doesn't stop at a great user experience; it needs to have a great scalability, reliability and developer experience too.

You will report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager for the Commerce Financial Solutions group. This is a hybrid role working from our NYC office 3 days per week.

You'll Get To…

  • Lead the engineering team that builds and maintains the merchant experience for our financial services
  • Work with experienced Product Manager and Design to create product strategies that impact hundreds of thousands of businesses and their customers.
  • Work with world class managers and Staff engineers to shape the organization, processes and culture of our platform.
  • Mentor engineers to develop their skill and expertise in the world of software development and payments products.

Who We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in the software industry
  • 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams
  • 3+ years Experience developing and launching FinTech products and infrastructures.
  • Experience working with operations specialize like Customer Care or Trust and Safety.
  • Experience coaching engineers with diverse specialties.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to keep products compliant

Cash Compensation Range: $185,500 - $299,000 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to receive an incentive award as part of their total compensation.
