Job Description
The Accommodation Web team at Traveloka is responsible for one of our core products, focused on building innovative, user-friendly, and scalable web solutions. Our work directly shapes how millions of people discover and book accommodations, helping to create a smooth and reliable experience for travelers everywhere.
As the Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of web engineers in developing high-quality web front-end solutions, working closely with backend, product and design teams to ensure excellent user experiences across all web interface. The focus is on technical leadership and engineering excellence, guiding your team to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions. We operate in an open, collaborative environment where ideas are welcomed, and personal growth is a priority. You will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are delivered on schedule and aligned with the broader goals of the organization.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Work with product, design, and backend teams to translate business objectives into impactful front-end solutions for web.

Lead a team of web engineers, managing their development through code reviews, design discussions, task breakdowns, and project management.

Focus on delivering high-performance, scalable front-end systems that serve the needs of Accommodation users.

Drive recruitment efforts to attract top talent and contribute to building a high-performing engineering team.

Contribute to and influence engineering excellence within the team and wider organization, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a reputable university

6+ years of professional web front end development experience including 2+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.

Solid proficiency in Web development (HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, React, and Next.js)

Experience with unit testing and UI testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Cypress, etc.)

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog or New Relic for tracking application performance, infrastructure health, and troubleshooting issues in production environments.

Fluent in English in both written and verbal communication.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions

Excellent in verbal communication, presentation, mentorship skills, influence skills, and shows personal maturity.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
