Engineering Manager (Customer Support)

Boeing Ukraine is currently looking for Engineering Manager for 737NG/MAX Fuselage in Customer Support to join their team in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Primary Responsibilities:

Manages employees performing engineering activities within Customer Support, while ensuring safety, first time quality, and on-time performance.

Oversees development of technical responses to airline customer inquiries on airplane systems operations and including troubleshooting of aircraft systems issues.

Ensures coordination with design and suppliers to drive quality and safety into the technical support provided to customers.

Helps to manage positive shift handovers with Systems Service Engineering in California, USA and all other global partners.

Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.

Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes and provides technical guidance to resolve engineering issues.

Proactively communicates with employees, peers and customers. Keeps others informed by communicating project status, conducting and participating in team meetings, providing presentations and listening to employee concerns and suggestions.

Manages, develops and motivates employees.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
-
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

3+ years of experience in support of aerospace products, which should include commercial and/or military airplane.
-
2+ years of experience leading an engineering team.
-
Existing rights to work in Ukraine.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Proven ability to embrace change, lead continuous improvement, and treat safety and quality as top priorities.

Experience in airplane systems operations (example: Avionics, Electrical Power/Lighting, Environmental Controls, Flight Controls, Interiors, Mechanical/Hydraulic, etc.)

Experience in airplane maintenance operations.

Experience leading complex projects.
-
Experience in developing and maintaining relationships/partnerships with airline customers, suppliers, stakeholders and partners.

Knowledge of industry trends (customers, regulators, competitors, etc.)
-
Willingness and ability to manage ambiguity and turn it into action.
