The Opportunity That Awaits You:   

We are seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in the medical device industry. This internship offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on real-world projects involving product development, process improvement, validation, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and passionate about engineering solutions that enhance healthcare.

What Your Day-To-Day Will Involve:

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of medical devices.
  • Support engineering teams in process validation, prototyping, and manufacturing optimization.
  • Conduct data collection, analysis, and documentation to support design verification and validation activities.
  • Assist in writing and reviewing technical documents, including test protocols, reports, and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing departments.
  • Research and apply industry regulations and standards, such as FDA, ISO 13485, and GMP.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving related to product design and production.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to company policies and procedures.

The Qualifications We Need You to Possess

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) 
  • Knowledge of statistics

The Qualifications We Would Like You to Possess

  • Understanding of engineering principles and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and technical documents.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with medical device regulations and standards is a plus but not required.

For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $30- 35 per hour

PAY RANGE TRANSPARENCY

Procept is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role represents a base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Procept utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

We’ll provide you training for, and ask you to maintain trained status for, and comply with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support regulatory compliance. We would also ask you to understand and adhere to the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality & EHS policies.
