As a Solution Test Engineer within the Central Manager Solution test team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and security of Big-IP products. You will be responsible for comprehensive testing across all aspects of the product line, from inception to deployment. This includes crafting and executing test plans, automating test cases, and collaborating with development teams to enhance product security.
Primary Responsibilities

Develop and execute test strategies and plans to validate new and existing Big-IP features.

Design, implement, and maintain robust automated test suites using Python, Cypress and Gitlab.

Strengthen the security posture of F5 products through rigorous testing and vulnerability assessments.

Execute and analyze automation runs, investigating test failures, and collaborating with development teams to resolve security and product quality issues.

Perform security testing and assess vulnerabilities from Solution standpoint.

Analyze, refine, and manage test methodologies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

Stabilize existing test suites by introducing innovative tools and utilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-
Extensive experience in test automation using Python.

Experience with UI automation tools (e.g. Cypress, Playwright)

Good understanding of Linux networking and operating system internals.

Solid foundation in network protocols (TCP, UDP, IP, HTTP, SSL, DNS, FTP).

Proficiency in test methodologies and software development lifecycle.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Good understanding of network and application security concepts, including encryption, authentication, and authorization.

Expertise in networking concepts and traffic analysis tools.
-
Experience with security testing tools (e.g., Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Nessus, Metasploit).

Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Experience with CI/CD (Git, pipeline, Jenkins) and DevOps (Terraform, Ansible) tools.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience.

Advanced degree (Master's) preferred.
