About the Role
Senior Test Engineer/Lead in this is responsible for complete validation of telematics product. End-to-End software and Product testing, Vehicle compatibility testing for automotive telematics products
What You Will Do
- Responsible to monitor, plan test executions, test case creation/reviews and reporting
- Responsible to clear all technical queries in the team with respect to telematics features
- Responsible to coordinate the testing activities from various team hardware, mechanical, software, device, compatibility, cloud/backend and mobile apps.
- Responsible for vehicle test at customer location and support for customer activities
- Experience in TEST AUTOMATION is added advantage, especially on Python.
- Responsible for Sanity Test, System Test, End-to-End feature test, OTA test, compatibility test and device functionality tests for various customers and projects. Ensure tests are completed and publish the report timely
- Participate in analysis of logs for any issues reported during testing.
- Support Full System test of the device FW before every factory or maintenance release that includes KPI, Performance, security, power management, state management based on ignition states, GPS, sensor and various functionalities. Ensure tests are completed and publish the report.
- Supporting vehicle compatibility testing – tracking, execution and reporting.
- Test support and live debugging support for development of new features or Change requests.
- Experience with CANoe, PCAN – CAN simulation tools
- Experience with Telematics, Automotive based products testing and Qualification.
- Strong knowledge on SOFTWARE Testing concepts
- Connect with various stakeholders of the product for any clarification on the requirements/Expectations from device, cloud, app and web portal.
- Understanding the client functional/Non-Functional requirements, high level design documents provided by client
What You Need
- At least 7-9 year of experience as a Test Engineer in Automotive
- Experience with Software Testing (White box/Grey box)
- Experience with data analysis, logs, tracing
- Good English communication skills both written and verbal
- HW setup knowledge, also Telematic/Infotainment systems with knowledge on CAN, Diagnostics and Telephony
What is Nice to Have
- ISTQB Certified
- Knowledge of Automotive Testing Standard (A-SPICE)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other relevant (IT connected) specializations.
- Some experience in Automation and Scripting (Python)
- Good English communication skills both written and verbal.
