Job Summary
This is an exceptional opportunity to apply your leadership skills and technical knowledge of industrial bioscience manufacturing as a member of the team global H&B Manufacturing Technology (MT) organization. As a part of the Americas H&B MT team, your work will improve and maintain technology performance, process efficiency, and continuous improvement for short and long-term goals of global H&B operations.
Responsibilities
- Proactive support to improve safety, quality, and cost of our manufacturing process through equipment and process design optimization
- Troubleshooting, problem solving and proactive support of H&B manufacturing processes.
- Lead projects to optimize the capability and performance of internal and external manufacturing processes, focusing on capital design improvements and standardization of process equipment.
- Drive alignment regionally and globally to define best practice equipment designs and lead projects to implement and improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Provide technoeconomic analysis for manufacturing improvements including CAPEX projects, commercialization, and debottlenecking initiatives.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives as a member of the global H&B Manufacturing Technology community and ring team
- Execute process and equipment design (FEL) for capital expansion growth and improvement projects.
- Proactive support to improve safety, quality, and cost of our manufacturing process through equipment design optimization
- Delivering technical solutions and leading corrective actions to reduce process failures.
Qualifications
- BS/MS in Chemical Engineering or related field
- Minimum five years experiences – preferably in industrial/biochemical processing including project management experience
- In-depth knowledge of industrial biotech process technology – fermentation, downstream processing, liquid and solid formulation
- Detailed knowledge of sterile and sanitary design for biomanufacturing.
- Demonstrated skills in collaboration across locations, functions, and divisions
- Proven track record in decision making, prioritization, and strategic thinking
- Excellent presentation skills and comfort around senior leadership
- Financial and business acumen/experience, including project justifications and product cost analysis
Role to be located at a US H&B Operations site: Cedar Rapids, IA; Beloit, WI; Madison, WI; and Rochester, NY.
