Overview & Responsibilities
Purpose of the Job:
To apply technical knowledge, skills and experience of materials and processes to all of Ebara Elliott Energy’s product lines for new apparatus and service opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:

B.S. degree in appropriate curriculum such as Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Materials.

Solid communication skills, able to convey details on complex process details among a variety of groups at different levels

Able to balance multiple projects and priorities to meet technical requirements and deadlines.

Microsoft Office software, able to adapt and learn new software systems
-
Familiar with mechanical testing including, but not limited to, tensile testing, hardness testing and fatigue testing.

Able to prepare samples for metallurgical evaluation and relate microstructure to material properties
Job Description and Responsibilities:
-
Plans, budgets, schedules and performs engineering assignments toward specified objectives within allocated time, schedule and costs

Performs mechanical testing of existing or new materials and processes for suitability in specific service applications. Creates and maintains material property database that are utilized by engineering departments throughout Ebara Elliott Energy.

Initiates changes to existing materials and processes for specific applications, product improvement, manufacturing considerations or field applications.

Plans, prepares and executes experimental programs for extension of applications of materials and processes, prepares reports and instructions for utilization.

Provides technical information, coordination and follow-up on initiatives with other Ebara Elliott Energy departments to ensure conformance to product requirements.

Prepares and approves Material Specifications and Process Specifications that are used throughout all Ebara Elliott Energy facilities.

Promotes and implements ideas and suggestions for improvement of quality, cost and productivity

Pursues personal career development plan prepared in conjunction with supervision.

Review and approve drawings from Drafting/Product Engineering and provide feedback as necessary

Identify and implement process improvement opportunities

Maintains awareness of technical developments and advancements in materials and processes in areas of interest to Ebara Elliott Energy.

Identifies safety concerns and takes necessary corrective actions.

Assists with other required related functions as directed by Materials Engineering
