Job Description
An Engineer 2 is part of a key team of Nordstrom Technology professionals that applies scientific, mathematical, and social principles to design, build, and maintain scalable and sustainable technology products, devices, systems, and solutions. These technology products and solutions provide amazing customer experiences while meeting the needs of the business.
Engineers on the Endpoint Platform Services team are responsible for building, configuring, and securing Windows and Mac endpoints at Nordstrom to enable teams to be productive in delivering their services. As an Engineer 2, you will be responsible for testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting different systems and platforms.
What you’ll be doing:

Drive end user experience goals and initiatives for on-going end user productivity improvements

Write and contribute to project plans, author engineering level documentation, and develop detailed test plans
-
Diagnose and resolve complex issues with technical assistance from internal teams and technical IT management
-
Support endpoints used across the organization including but not limited to patching, compliance, security, and end user experience
-
Work with a diverse range of device types such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices across different platforms such as Windows, Android, iOS, and macOS.

Participate in an on-call rotation as needed

Qualifications:
-
BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent education and experience required
-
3+ years’ experience with end user computing technologies within a complex organization including development, implementation, and support
-
Demonstrated experience with the application management lifecycle within Microsoft Configuration Manager, including creation, deployment, monitoring, and management
-
Intermediate experience with programming or scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python
-
Intermediate experience with all supported Windows server and workstation operating systems
-
Intermediate experience with supporting Microsoft technologies including but not limited to AD, DNS, GPO, IIS, SQL
-
Experience with enterprise scale application packaging tools including but not limited to Intune, Munki, AutoPkg, CMPackager, and InstallShield
-
Experience with enterprise scale configuration management and mobile device management tools (e.g., Configuration Manager, Jamf, Intune)
-
Understanding of source version control systems (e.g., Gitlab, GitHub)

Understanding of industry standard monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, SCOM)

Understanding of security protocols and standards

Pay Range Details
The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
Washington: $103,000 - $188,500 AnnuallyThis position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
