Guild is hiring an Engagement Manager, Solution Consulting. As an Engagement Manager on the Solutions Consulting team, you partner with Sales to drive net new business for Guild. You work with prospective employer partners to design programs and supporting business cases that will meet their talent objectives, unlock opportunity for their workforce, and deliver a strong ROI. You collaborate closely with a range of internal Guild teams to ensure that employer partnerships are set up for successful implementation and delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with Sales and Solution Consulting team members to develop sales strategy, build executive-level buy-in with employer prospects and close deals, and leverage industry/Guild expertise and influence. For relatively straightforward deals, you will drive design and independently lead calls with prospects
- Tailor solution and program design to meet employer needs based on deep understanding of Guild’s solution and capabilities. Adjust strategy based on new positioning and as solution capabilities evolve.
- Build supporting business cases for employer partner prospects including budget and ROI model
- Lead solutioning with cross-functional teams to problem solve and set up employer partnerships for smooth hand-offs and launches
- Share learnings and feedback internally (Solution Consulting/Sales, Solution Marketing, etc.) to help up-level how we go to market and advance deals. As you gain more experience, begin contributing to process improvements to enhance our GTM strategy and motion, positioning, and overall solution.
- Contribute to the team culture of collaboration, high performance, curiosity, empathy, and trust both within the Solution Consulting team and cross-functionally.
Required Proficiencies
Solution Design
- Proven ability to design tailored solutions for clients, balancing creativity and practicality
- Experience crafting compelling narratives, business cases, and ROI models
Product and Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of product and technical solutions, including the ability to stay current on evolving product capabilities, applying them effectively in solution design
Market, Industry, and Competitive Knowledge
- Deep curiosity and passion for all things workforce development, education, talent, and learning
- Strong ability to translate market insights into impactful sales strategies and solutions
Client Focus
- Experience building and maintaining executive-level client relationships
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, adept at influencing and building trust
Project Management
- Strong project management skills to lead cross-functional collaboration, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize effectively
Additional Skills and Attributes
- 5+ years of experience in solution consulting, management consulting, or a related role within B2B sales or client engagement
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset
- High emotional intelligence, empathy, and the ability to foster a culture of collaboration
- Self-starter with a growth mindset, committed to continuous learning and improvement
We are committed to equal pay for equal work and believe in compensation transparency. This role offers a competitive total compensation package, including a base salary of $125,000 - $155,000, variable compensation eligibility, commission eligibility as well as stock options. Compensation offered will be based on a combination of factors such as experience, competencies, and internal equity.
