Emerging Tech is seeking dedicated and skilled Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to join our team at the VA Clinic in Cheyenne, WY. As an EMT, you will play a critical role in providing emergency medical care to veterans and supporting the clinic's mission to deliver high-quality healthcare services.
What You'll Do:
- Respond to medical emergencies within the clinic and provide immediate care to patients.
- Assess patient conditions and determine the appropriate course of action in emergency situations.
- Administer basic life support, including CPR, wound care, and stabilization of injuries.
- Transport patients safely and efficiently to appropriate medical facilities when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and reports.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure all medical equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stocked.
- Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
What You'll Bring:
- Current certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in the state of Wyoming.
- Valid CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and transport patients as needed.
- Prior experience in a clinical or emergency response setting is preferred.
