Purpose:
Supports a positive and productive workplace by delivering timely, consistent, and proactive guidance to leaders and employees on a variety of employee relations matters. This role serves as a first point of contact for employee concerns, provides policy interpretation, supports performance management, and ensures compliance with employment laws and internal policies. The Employee Relations Partner contributes to a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Accountabilities:
- Builds strong, trust-based relationships with leaders and employees. Partners with other HR team members to ensure alignment and responsiveness in supporting the employee experience.
- Provides first-level guidance and partners with leaders on performance management, conflict resolution, and workplace expectations.
- Interprets and applies HR policies and practices to ensure consistent and fair treatment of employees across the organization. Supports training and communication efforts around key policies such as anti-harassment, disciplinary processes, and workplace conduct.
- Assists with onboarding file management and conducts periodic audits.
- Ensures compliance with employment-related posting requirements and HR documentation standards across locations.
- Assists in the preparation of recurring employee relations metrics, dashboards, and ad hoc reporting to monitor trends and support data-informed decisions.
- Recommends and implements process enhancements to improve efficiency, employee experience, and risk mitigation within the employee relations function.
- Provides employees and leaders with information about leave of absence processes, prepares leave packets, tracks leave status, and ensures compliance with applicable policies and laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA).
- Assists with employee offboarding, including drafting separation communications, coordinating system updates, and conducting exit processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3+ years of professional HR experience, preferably with exposure to employee relations, performance management, or HR operations.
- Foundational knowledge of employment laws and HR practices (e.g., Title VII, ADA, FMLA, ADEA).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to navigate sensitive conversations with professionalism.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- High attention to detail and strong judgment; able to recognize when to escalate matters.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
