About the role:
The Employee Experience Specialist will support initiatives that create an engaging and inclusive workplace where employees feel connected, valued, and motivated. They will assist in developing programs that enhance Wave’s culture, fostering a positive and memorable employee experience. By fostering a positive and empowering work culture, you will help employees succeed, which in turn enables them to provide outstanding service to our customers.
Here's how you'll make an impact:
- In collaboration with the Senior Manager, P&C Operations, design and implement programs and initiatives to boost employee connectedness and morale, including organizing virtual, in-person, or hybrid events for employees, milestone and service awards, and other team-building activities.
- Utilize feedback and suggestions for continued program improvement.
- Create and send employee communications for events, anniversaries and various holidays throughout the year.
- Support the Communications Manager with monthly town halls and P&C leadership in coordinating organization-wide events.
- Support the P&C Operations Specialist with leading orientation and acting as a backup. Responsible for ordering Wave employee swag and coordinating new hire kits.
- Promote and maintain a positive workplace culture that aligns with the company’s purpose, mission, and values.
- Oversee office inventory, purchasing supplies, and maintaining a well-stocked, organized, and welcoming space.
- Coordinate office services with third-party vendors for maintenance and repairs, including but not limited to property management, security, Hallmark cleaning services, loading dock management, HVAC filtering, coffee vendor, and maintenance contractors.
- Craft and maintain comprehensive office guides and resources to assist managers in effectively navigating office operations and employee engagement practices.
- Report on the office budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for supplies and events.
- Track and monitor expenditures, providing monthly updates to management.
You Thrive Here By Possessing the Following:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer-focused, HR/people operations, employee experience or similar roles with experience in event planning and/or program management.
- Previous experience with small-scale event planning. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze feedback and data to measure success and inform improvements.
- Creative problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions.
- Possess a process-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles to create inclusive programs and initiatives.
