The Employee Engagement Manager plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of financial literacy and engagement among plan participants within the retirement plan space. The Employee Engagement Manager will develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to educate participants on their plan benefits, investment options, and overall financial well-being. Through various communication channels and educational initiatives, the manager will empower participants to make informed decisions about their retirement savings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to):
Client/Participant Education

Develop and manage a comprehensive education strategy tailored to meet the needs of diverse plan participants, in collaboration with Client Relations, Sales, and Plan Sponsor teams. This includes customizing presentations to address the specific needs of each client employee group.

Create engaging and informative content on retirement plan basics, investment options, financial wellness topics, and personalized portfolio options.

Utilize a variety of communication channels (e.g., in-person events, webinars, email newsletters, online resources) to deliver educational content to participants.
Educational Presentations and Meetings

Schedule and conduct group education meetings, workshops, webinars, and enrollment meetings to achieve client goals. This may involve presentations on plan design, investment options, and personalized portfolio strategies.

Conduct engaging group presentations for plan participants on a range of retirement plan topics.

Schedule and conduct one-on-one retirement planning meetings with client employees to address individual questions and concerns.

Investment Education and Guidance
-
Provide participants with insight into the funds offered under each client plan, including educating them on fund objectives, performance, and how they align with individual goals.

Explain and ensure participants understand product options, including Personalized Portfolios. Make appropriate recommendations based on individual circumstances.
Wealth Management and Financial Planning

Identify opportunities to connect participants with Wealth Management services when appropriate.

Partner with Wealth Advisors to ensure a seamless referral process for participants seeking personalized financial planning guidance.
Communication and Collaboration
-
Collaborate with internal teams (Client Relations, Sales, Client Services, Wealth Management) to ensure effective communication and delivery of educational initiatives.
Ongoing Improvement
-
Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in participant education and engagement.

Analyze participant data and feedback to identify areas for improvement in the education strategy.

Track and measure the success of education programs and report on key metrics.
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:

Strong understanding of ERISA regulations and fiduciary best practices.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work and make decisions independently.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Demonstrated discipline maintaining client information in a CRM, Salesforce preferred.

Proven success with multi-tasking and managing priorities effectively.

Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and technology environment.

Continual learner mentality, able to adopt new solutions and interpret the impact of new laws for prospective clients.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive client information, including personnel and financial data.

Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Business travel up to 25%.
Education, Training and Experience:
-
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field (preferred), or relevant experience in retirement plan service.

Must possess a valid relevant securities license or demonstrate a strong likelihood of successfully obtaining the necessary licensure within XX days of hire.

5+ years of experience in financial education, retirement plan communication, or a similar role.

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
