EMEA Data and Analytics Solutions manager (m/f/d)
Role Summary
Within the Global Supply Chain team , the EMEA Data Analytics and Solutions Manager is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of advanced analytics solutions and data-driven applications to optimize/automatize supply chain operations and support digitization in the context of Nextgen supply chain. This role bridges the gap between business challenges and technical solutions, empowering decision-making through insightful data products, automation, and scalable digital tools, working in close partnership with the markets, Above Market Planning HUB Organizations, Regional Leads, Global & Regional PGS/GSC teams and Global Digital teams.
Key role responsabilities :
- Design data analytics & reporting solutions that drive improved efficiency in business processes, reporting automation and/or faster, smarter decision- making.
- Interact with Global Supply Chain Business users, Digital teams & other support functions to build, test & deliver data / analytics solutions.
- Evaluate current stakeholders standard work processes and identify unmet business problems, proactively proposing data-driven solutions and reducing the number of ad-hoc reports.
- Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and data lake/warehouse infrastructure (e.g., Dataiku , Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
- Architect scalable and secure data platforms optimized for analytics, AI, and real-time reporting.
- Automate ingestion of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources including APIs, IoT feeds, ERP, and third-party vendors.
- Partner with analysts and business partners to define metrics, ensure data consistency, and develop self-serve analytics solutions.
- Optimize data models for reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and empower teams with accessible, trusted data.
- Implement best practices for data quality, observability, cataloging, and governance (including GDPR, HIPAA, or relevant compliance frameworks).
- Monitor system performance, usage, and cost efficiency across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Define and lead the AI strategy for supply chain in alignment with the broader digital roadmap.
- Stay current on emerging technologies (AI, IoT, digital twins, blockchain, new generation Machine Learning algorithms, new cutting-edge technologies, Process automation and advanced analytics ) and assess their application in a regulated pharma supply chain in support of GSC EMEA needs.
Other Role Responsibilities
- Work very closely with EMEA Reporting & Analytics Manager and other colleagues to drive and coordinate adoption to digital tools through metrics & defined action plans for EMEA markets, or other teams established in the region withing Global Supply Chain (GSC)
- Support and collaborate with GSC teams to improve analytics, execution of key activities for system driven regional planning through innovative digital solution.
- Represent as required the regional teams in the global forums/projects for digitization and process optimization/automatization.
- Lead or ad-hoc support for automatization and digitization projects within the region
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science ,Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- 3-5+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering roles, ideally in high-growth or data-heavy environments.
- Data analysis experience with heterogeneous data types and familiarity of big data, analytics and/or data mining environments (in operations, manufacturing or supply chain preferred)
- Languages: SQL (advanced), Python or Scala
- Platforms: AWS (Redshift, S3, Glue), GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow), or Azure
- Tools: dbt, Airflow, Kafka, Spark, Fivetran/Stitch, Git, Docker
- Visualization: Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar
- Foundational knowledge of ML/AI concepts and familiarities with LLM.
- Proven experience designing scalable data architectures and delivering analytics-ready datasets.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling (dimensional/star schema), and API integrations.
- Previous experience working in a multi-national supply chain environment is a plus, as well as having worked with cultural differences and country specific requirements.
- Successful candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills in English, interpersonal skills, analytical thinking, and project management skills.
- Must be able to work both independently and in a cross-functional team environment with limited direction/high autonomy to complete work assignments accurately and on time, including prioritizing multiple requests for competing projects along with day-to-day customer support.
