To expand our activities in the Embedded Software department, we are looking for an Embedded/Robotics Software Developer.
Fugro Innovation & Technology develops and engineers state of the art positioning systems and remote-controlled robotics for both land and maritime applications. Our systems include data collection and processing hardware and software that supports Fugro's operations in the field. Within Fugro Innovation & Technology there are over 100 people active in different expertise teams, continuously researching and developing new solutions to improve and expand the Fugro Services.
The Embedded Software Group delivers state-of-the-art solutions for a multitude of high-end applications. In this position you will work with a team of 11 highly skilled and motivated colleagues with multi-disciplinary backgrounds on our remotely operated vehicles.

About the job

You develop new, or improve status and control business logic for our robotic products;

You coach and support team members and guarantee quality of our codebase;

You coordinate with the product owners to deliver solutions according customer needs and industry standards;

You are a critical thinker and clear communicator with the writing skills necessary for successful asynchronous collaboration in a hybrid work environment;

You continuously improve your knowledge and skills and participate in discussions regarding new technologies;
-
Occasional travel to test sites is involved.
Your profile
-
You have a bachelor's or master’s degree in Software Engineering, Robotics or equivalent;
-
You have a minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position;
-
Proficiency with ROS2 is a must;

You have thorough knowledge of C++17 or later versions;

You have experience with software system architecture;
-
You have experience with Agile/Scrum, GoogleTest and CI;
-
You are fluent in English, both spoken and written.
