Introduction
Within our Electronic Development Platforms department, we develop and create world-class electronic common platform solutions used across ASML's business lines, ensuring commonality and streamlining development. To achieve this, we collaborate closely with our colleagues from DUV Electronics, EUV Electronics, Application Electronics and our external development partners, customers and global suppliers.
Your assignment
For this internship, you are asked to build and develop testing infrastructure (hardware and software) for our FPGA development testbench.
Your responsibilities include:

Specify and develop FPGA firmware, software drivers and testcases for existing ASML IPs on an existing HW testbench.

Port existing testcases and firmware to the new HW testbench.

Various other tasks related that might come up.
Key deliverables include:

Code (Drivers, Firmware, Testcases);
-
Documentation of all delivered code;
-
A presentation to the team showcasing your work, insights, and recommendations for future improvements.
The assignment are suitable for bachelor/master apprentice (to gain work experience) or bachelor graduation (thesis). For minimum duration of 5 months. The starting date is asap, latest in September 2025.
Your profileTo be the perfect match for this internship you:

Have background in electrical, embedded, software engineering;

Have knowledge in programming (and scripting) languages: VHDL, C, python. Embedded development;

Have some level of independence, critical thinking and you are able to communicate in an effective way.
Other requirements you need to meet

You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).

You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you ‘re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
