We’re looking for a Development Engineer Embedded Software to join our LED Horticulture R&D Team in Eindhoven. It is a multidisciplinary team with a close relationship to all departments related to sales, development and production. Your role is a key in development of our own high- power, wired and wireless, electronic drivers. Next to it, you are eager to translate requirements from markets up to factories into specifications and to develop solutions. You will work closely together with High-Power Electronic developers, with close connection to System Software Engineers and Industrial Engineers to come to best in class Electronic High Power Drivers.

As a Development Engineer Embedded Software, you’ll be responsible for developing Embedded Software for our horticulture LED drivers and lighting control devices. We are looking for forward-thinking innovators with a passion for Research and Development. If you match this description, get in touch!
What you’ll do
- Develop embedded software for LED drivers and lighting control devices, in close collaboration with hardware engineers
- Develop the entire software development life cycle, including developing requirements, design, coding, and verification for new features
- Work in close relation with our Software Test Engineer on testing the software in prototype of existing driver manually or work on the automatization of the test setup
- Work in a team with agile development methodologies and a continuous improvement mindset
Your qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Embedded Systems, Computer Science or Mathematics
- Experience in creating Embedded Software for micro controllers with time critical processes without RTOS
- Knowledge of Control Engineering and experience with implementing real-time control loops and regulators, e.g. PI, feedforward, etc.
- Affinity with Electronics and ability to read circuit diagrams
- You have a knowledge of and an experience with C programming, including configurable HW peripherals, e.g. PWM timers, interrupt controllers, and HW interfaces, e.g. UART and IIC
- You can work alone on the full Embedded Software process, from design, development to testing
- Experience with professional Software development tools and flows e.g. GIT, JIRA
- You have an affinity with hardware tools and measurement equipment like a multi meter, a lab power supply and an oscilloscope
- Knowledge of C# and Python is an advantage
- Knowledge of ARM microcontrollers and low-level peripherals, e.g. Infineon XMC, STM32, STM8
- Knowledge of Power Electronics like PFC, Buck, Boost, is a pre
- Good communication skills and ability to influence a project team
