We are seeking a skilled and strategic Product Owner of Salesforce Marketing Cloud to lead the development and optimization of our marketing automation capabilities. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders across marketing, IT, and customer experience teams to define and prioritize the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) roadmap. You will be responsible for ensuring that SFMC is leveraged effectively to drive customer engagement, optimize campaign performance, and enhance personalization efforts across our B2B Pharmaceutical Organization.

As the Product Owner, you will bridge business needs with technical execution, translating requirements into actionable user stories and working with developers and administrators to implement solutions. You will also monitor platform performance, drive adoption across teams, and continuously evaluate new features to maximize business value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the Salesforce Marketing Cloud roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact and technical feasibility.
  • Lead testing strategy for updates and releases.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and define requirements, translating them into user stories and clear acceptance criteria.
  • Define and prioritize product features
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize features that align with customer/client needs and business objectives, ensuring a clear and actionable product backlog.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, database admins, and data teams to enhance and optimize SFMC capabilities.
  • Lead the implementation of automation, segmentation, personalization, and multi-channel marketing campaigns within SFMC.
  • Develop go-to market strategies
    • Create comprehensive go-to market plans, including product messaging, positioning, and business enablement strategies, to effectively launch new features and enhancements
  • Ensure ethical and sustainable practices
    • Consider how the email product can apply cutting-edge technology in an ethical, sustainable, and inclusive manner.
  • Ensure seamless integration between SFMC and other business systems, such as CRM, data warehouses, and analytics platform.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing performance data to drive insights and continuous improvements.
  • Stay up to date with SFMC releases, ne features, and industry best practices, making recommendations for enhancements.
  • Ensure data security, compliance, and best practices in all marketing automation processes.
  • Diagnose bugs/defects and interface with appropriate IT team including writing tickets for resolution on behalf of operations team.
  • Maintain a robust training program with test scenarios, documentation, and step by step training plan for specialists and cross-trained team members.
  • Facilitate improvements to SFMC through existing components and functionality while providing feedback/ideas on future state opportunities.
  • Plan for and be a SME for discovery sessions for future site/email initiatives.
  • Works with internal clients such as Product Marketing teams and develops digital marketing and Ecommerce campaigns based on client objectives. Applying significant digital marketing knowledge and experience, establishes campaign goals, tactics, and messaging and serves as a subject matter expert for client team.
  • Presents marketing initiative outcomes to clients and demonstrates the impact of the marketing campaigns using metrics related to customer engagement, revenue, and return on investment and provides insights on customer segments.
  • Partners with creative content professionals to develop and evaluate creative content for marketing campaigns in alignment with the established messaging and objectives of the campaign.
  • Collaborates with digital marketing operations professionals to deploy content on B2B Ecommerce platforms and other digital channels.
  • Independently develops, analyzes and reports on A/B and multivariate tests to enhance campaign performance and provide insights on customers.
  • Manages the deployment of marketing content across several digital marketing channels, including Ecommerce platforms, email, social media and web advertising. Ensures alignment of content and tactics across channels and drives customers from various platforms to landing pages and solutions, based on client objectives.
  • Manages project budgets and ensures that campaigns are completed according to the set timelines.
  • Establishes and cultivates long-term relationships with internal clients, demonstrating on-going value of digital marketing solutions and sharing new and enhanced capabilities with decision-makers.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Marketing Technology Lead with a focus on Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Deep knowledge of SFMC modules, including Journey Builder Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Audience Builder, Automation Studio, and Content Builder.
  • Strong understanding of data segmentation, dynamic content, personalization, and marketing automation best practices.
  • Technical proficiency with SQL, AMPscript, and scripting languages to manage data queries and campaign logic.
  • Experience integrating SFMC with Salesforce CRM and other third-party tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret marketing performance metrics and optimize campaigns accordingly.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Agile experience and familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, and other product management platforms.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Any certifications in email marketing channels such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo, etc. a plus. 

Anticipated salary range: $103,500 - $147,900
