Job Description

Iolo / RealDefense is seeking a creative and roll-up your sleeves hard-working individual to join our growing team of talented ecommerce and marketing professionals. Reporting to the VP of eCommerce, the Email Marketing Manager works as a team with our Campaign Deployment Manager to own and drive the strategy, execution and analysis of the email marketing program. This role will work to develop and manage all of iolo’s outgoing email marketing campaigns and strategy and work closely with various departments and contractors to create visually appealing email templates, effective landing pages, and other online messaging for a rapidly growing audience. This is a full-time position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the email distribution and in-product messaging calendar and strategy of all outgoing email and in-product message campaigns, including promotional and transactional.
  • Develop test plans and apply data driven technique to optimize all emails for best performance and maximum ROI.
  • Proactively monitor all account metrics, including open rates, click-through, deliverability and conversions.
  • Provide analysis after each blast and recommendations for improvement, linking to sales, segmentation, and overall campaign effectiveness.
  • Drive continuous improvement through rigorous subject line, A/B and multivariate testing.
  • Provide strategic results reporting for each campaign and recommend improvements, enhancements, and testing strategies for future campaigns
  • Ensure deployment of consistent, best-practice email templates, dynamic content, audience targeting,
  • Be knowledgeable of CAN-SPAM, CCPA laws and regulations and manage campaigns appropriately.
  • Develop the strategy and messaging for drip sequence campaigns, including downloads, welcome letters, event/trigger based emails, and renewals; liaison between marketing and development to implement all efforts.
  • Provide additional email metrics, sales, and continue to development performance reports to improve efforts.
  • Work cross functionally with Copywriters, Art, and Development to improve customer buying experiences.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to create and execute email and in-product messaging campaigns in support of each business unit.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-3 years using email marketing software; working knowledge of Emarsys user interface a plus.
  • Fluent and persuasive promotional copywriting skills for a technical product.
  • Working knowledge of HTML.
  • Experience with content, design, and personalization tactics (dynamic messaging) for email campaigns.
  • A thorough understanding of CAN-SPAM, CCPA legislation.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, preferably at the intermediate level.
  • 3-5 years of experience in relevant field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Enjoys working in a team environment.
  • Laughs easily yet is focused on the tasks at hand.
