Job Summary
Red 6 seeks a self-motivated and detail-oriented Avionics Electronics Technician to help bring cutting-edge augmented reality technology to life. In this role, you'll be hands-on with the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and refinement of high-performance electronic systems for our product.
You will play a key role in building and supporting Red 6’s internal hardware platforms for prototypes, engineering development, and demos with customers. Working closely with engineering teams, you'll help create the physical systems that power our next-generation AR solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Electronics Assembly & Prototyping:

Assemble and integrate electronic components, circuit boards, and wiring systems for Red 6’s AR platforms.

Perform precision soldering, crimping, and wire harnessing to IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards.

Interpret engineering schematics, drawings, and work instructions to build both prototype and demo-ready hardware.

Support rapid iteration of builds for internal testing, flight demos, and technology validation.
Testing & Troubleshooting:

Conduct functional and environmental tests on electronic assemblies to ensure quality and reliability.

Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues in collaboration with engineering teams.

Accurately document build processes, test results, and findings to support continuous improvement and future scalability.
Process Development:

Help define and improve Red 6’s electronics assembly and prototyping workflows.

Collaborate with engineering to optimize hardware for performance, reliability, and ease of integration in aircraft.
Experience & Qualifications

Associate’s degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in electronics assembly, prototyping, or test—ideally in aerospace or other high-reliability industries.

Strong proficiency in soldering, wire harnessing, and interpreting technical documentation.

Familiarity with electronics test equipment and diagnostic tools.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment and adapt to evolving technical needs.

Qualified candidates must have the ability to obtain a security clearance. This requires U.S. Citizenship.
