Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the design and engineering of power electronics and high-power RF systems (~15 kW / 25-100 MHz); designing, developing, optimizing, and evaluating electronic components, power supplies, and integrated circuitry for Cyclotron and Tracer Center products. Establishes design approaches and parameters; analyzes systems to confirm performance, conducts thorough functional and quality tests, and interprets results.

Advances expertise in RF and power electronics. Acts as a best practice and quality resource. Keeps abreast of cutting-edge technical developments in the field. Contributes to strategy and policy refinement, ensuring successful delivery within the scope of responsibility.

Maintains deep knowledge of best practices and how RF and power electronics integrate with other disciplines; understands industry trends and competitive factors that set GE Healthcare apart in the market.

Applies judgment to resolve complex challenges in design, testing, and project management. Brings fresh perspectives to established solutions. Uses extensive technical experience and data analysis to inform recommendations, leveraging internal resources and select external insights.

Serves as a mentor for less experienced colleagues. May oversee small-to-medium projects with manageable risks and resource needs. Communicates complex information clearly and effectively; builds consensus and influences peers through sound technical reasoning and collaborative dialogue.
Required Qualifications:

Significant experience in Engineering/Technology & Electronic Hardware, with a focus on RF and power electronics. Master’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience). We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record in RF and power electronics design, with the ability to drive projects and work independently or as a team player while delivering innovative, high-quality solutions.

Fluency in English and Swedish (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus. Proficiency in Cadence Allegro PCB Design and OrCAD Capture (or equivalent ECAD tools). Proven expertise in high-power applications (up to 50 kW and ~100 MHz), component selection, and EMC compliance.
