We are looking for an Electronics Component Engineer to join our team! You will be responsible for selecting, evaluating, and managing electronic and electromechanical components for our products. Your expertise will ensure component performance, reliability, compliance, and cost-effectiveness while supporting R&D, supply chain, and manufacturing teams.
What You will do:
Component Selection & Evaluation
- Identify and qualify electronic or electromechanical components for product development.
- Ensure component compliance with performance, reliability, and regulatory standards (RoHS, REACH, UL, etc.).
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source cost-effective and high-quality parts.
- Analyze and define electrical, environmental, physical and chemical parameters for component characterization within a system (product)
Lifecycle & Risk Management
- Monitor component obsolescence, availability, and supply chain risks.
- Recommend alternative components and implement second-source strategies.
- Maintain and manage approved vendor lists (AVL) and component databases.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with design engineers to integrate components into new and existing products.
- Partner with procurement and supply chain teams to optimize component sourcing.
- Support failure analysis and root cause investigations for component-related issues.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations and quality standards.
- Maintain up-to-date component specifications, datasheets, and engineering documentation.
We would love to have You on our team, if You have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering.
- Previous experience in component engineering, sourcing, or product development.
- Strong knowledge of electronic or electromechanical components.
- Experience with BOM (Bill of Materials) management, PCB design tools (Altium, etc.).
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, supplier quality, and procurement.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.
We also appreciate if you have:
- Experience working with global suppliers and supply chain management.
- Knowledge of reliability testing, materials science, and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software.
