General Description:
HRL is seeking a motivated undergraduate/graduate intern to assist in electrochemistry research and development programs. This candidate will assist in the development and scale-up of electrochemical semiconductor processes, work independently, follow detailed instructions, and suggest improvements to existing processes. This position will require frequent technical communication with team members, including oral and written reporting.
Essential Duties:
Run electrochemical and photoelectrochemical experiments, perform basic materials characterization analysis.
Analyze data and inform team on all relevant information related to experiments.
Required Skills:
Applicant should have experience in wet chemical labs and operating electrochemical tools.
Familiarity with photoelectrochemistry or semiconductor electrochemistry.
Required Education:
Upper-division undergraduate or graduate student or currently pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or a related field.
Physical Requirements:
Must be capable of standing in the lab and performing data analysis at computer workstations.
Special Requirements:
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Compensation:
The pay range for this position $43 - $48 per hour.
