The Toro Company has an opening for an Electrical Engineer, reporting to the company’s Venture Products, Inc. facility in Orrville, Ohio. Responsible for ensuring engineering design and analysis of electrical and electronic components of new or revised mobile machinery products, including lawn mowers, snow blowers, and irrigation system supplies for commercial, residential, agricultural, and public sector uses. Work with electrical and other design team members to finalize designs and implement them into production. Develop specifications with vendors, and assure vendors meet design requirements. Design, construct, and test working prototypes of electrical products and/or systems; perform engineering analysis to predict behavior and failure modes of proposed designs. Develop project design plans including budgets and schedules; develop simulation tests, and evaluate test data. Work with Manufacturing, Test, and Quality Control to ensure that designs meet applicable regulatory, safety, and industry standards. Position requires a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering plus two years of experience designing electrical components used for mobile machinery products or off road vehicles.
