Job Description
Job purpose:
Support the EHS Coordinator to achieve compliance with both legal directives and the company's own directives on Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental issues to eliminate the risk of sanctions and to achieve and maintain the certifications required by medmix.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with medmix internal policies and applicable local, national and international legal requirements regarding legal documentation, work instructions, work equipment and machines, protective equipment.
- Inspect and evaluate work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Develop, implement and communicate procedures and/or work instructions to reduce workplace injuries and hazards.
- Coordinate risk assessments of safety, occupational health and environmental impacts. Both those carried out by internal multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.
- Detect training needs in HSE&E and to provide training in those areas in which he/she is competent.
- Elaborate a plan of internal audits in order to ensure the fulfillment of the defined objectives. Ensure compliance with EHS obligations by contractors and operators. (CAE).
- Participate in audits to measure environmental and safety system maturity level and alignment with ISO Standards (ISO 15000 and ISO4500)
- Monitor and analyze environmental and safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Investigate accidents and work to prevent health issues through safety training programs and develop recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
- Report Health and Safety metrics to plant and headquarters.
- Act safely and promote a culture of safe behavior aligned with medmix culture and values.
- Maintain accurate records of all EHS related activities and incidents.
Qualifications
Work experience: +5 years of experience
Expertise:
- Knowledge in the area of Health, Safety and Environment.
- Knowledge in the design and implementation of protocols and procedures in these areas. Training in Safety, Prevention and Environment.
- Advanced MS Office
Education: Master's Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention or Intermediate Technician in Occupational Risk Prevention or justification of training acquired in specialized courses.
Languages: Proficiency in English
Soft Skills:
- Strong planning skills to define and implement strategies
- Good communicator and collaborative mindset, able to break down silos between organizational areas
- Able to inspire, support and supervise the implementation of a preventive mentality for the entire plant
- Strong team player, easy collaboration with different departments
