Position Overview

 

As the EHS Program Manager, you will identify, develop, and drive the implementation of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs & activities as well as drive related projects through risk identification. You will collaborate with management and associated teams to promote significant EHS improvements at the Velo3D HQ and manufacturing facility. Responsibilities will also include EHS training, evaluation of new safety equipment, improving and expanding upon existing EHS programs, and continued development of safety awareness & training across the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive increased compliance and safety in the company and decreased incidences, near misses, and risks by 1) conducting daily safety checks; and 2) performing EHS audits, incident reporting, compliance
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of current health and safety policies, regulations, and industrial processes
  • Create safety training and deliver training to the organization, including managing online EHS training programs & use across the company
  • Monitor safety and PPE (protective equipment) compliance
  • Coach the organization and individuals on safety
  • Create and maintain safety policies and procedures
  • Run the Safety Committee (a cross-functional team dedicated to driving safety programs proactively and reactively)
  • Manage OSHA and compliance
  • Complete Safety and OSHA paperwork
  • Manage hazardous waste
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading machinery safety and energy isolation safety
  • Experience with capital equipment (e.g. semiconductor equipment, CNC machinery, industrial 3D printer equipment, etc.)
  • Experience with fire prevention systems
  • Experience with project management
  • A certified ASP is required through the Board of Safety Professionals (BSP); a nice to have CSP certification.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this full-time position is between $86,000 and $100,000. This salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for this position in the U.S. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience, job-related skills, related education, work location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. In addition to a competitive base salary and a comprehensive benefits package, this position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and equity program, as applicable.
