How You'll Create Possibilities

In this position, you’ll:

EHS Leader for New Product and Process Introduction (50%)

  • Develop and implement comprehensive EHS and risk assessment programs to ensure flawless execution of New Product Introductions (NPI).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess manufacturing risks, escalate critical challenges, and establish mitigation plans.
  • Partner with design and engineering teams to promote Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Service (DFMAS) principles while considering cost-effective recycling and disassembly options.
  • Lead strategic initiatives to improve operations across product lines and factories (e.g., box throw solutions).
  • Conduct benchmarking to identify trends in the manufacturing and appliance industries.
  • Serve as the EHS subject matter expert for capital equipment procurement, focusing on permitting, factory layout optimization, and enhancing equipment ergonomics and effectiveness.
  • Mentor and guide team members, sharing expertise and contributing to departmental knowledge.
  • Perform site visits to assess EHS integration, address team challenges, and provide practical solutions.
  • Use data analytics to identify strategic opportunities and integrate learnings from incident investigations into NPIs.

Change Management, Standard Reviews/Updates, and Training Development (40%)

  • Update and simplify EHS standards in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Publish finalized standards and track compliance progress, conducting gap analyses for site adherence.
  • Create user-friendly checklists and tools for compliance measurement and support training needs.
  • Develop and update EHS training content and schedule third-party training sessions to address regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Support the rollout of new standards and training programs under the direction of EHS leadership.

Culture and Communication (10%)

  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring open communication and prompt responses to inquiries.
  • Support the EHS team in developing and executing effective internal communication strategies.
  • Promote a collaborative and problem-solving culture that drives safety performance and sustainable results.

What You'll Bring to Our TeamRequired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of EHS experience leading and implementing EHS compliance and risk management systems and programs in a manufacturing and/or field service environment with demonstrated sustainable results
  • Project leadership experience; demonstrated ability to manage a cross-functional team, manage program risk to meet technical & commercial requirements. 
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EHS certifications (CSP, CIH, CHMM).
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Union workforce experience.
  • Advanced skills in EHS tools and technologies (e.g., Windchill, GenSuite).
  • Auditing experience
