Education & Outreach Content Creator Technical WriterJob Description
The Technical Writer follows writing standards, guidelines and best practices to create and update documentation and process flows. This position works with business area subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure content is accurate, meets the needs of the SME and is easy to understand.
Responsibilities
- Develop knowledge of products, services, processes and tools in order to translate information received into easy-to-understand content
- Create, update and archive documentation and process flows in accordance with writing standards and business practices
- Resolve writing requests in a timely manner as applicable to service level objectives
- Collaborate and communicate effectively and professionally with other team members and SMEs in order to uphold accuracy standards.
- Educate new technical writers regarding writing standards, guidelines and best practices as requested by the senior and/or principal technical writer
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Education or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
- 2 years of work experience in technical or process specific documentation
- Experience with a web-based workflow management system (i.e., Confluence, SharePoint, JIRA) and Microsoft Office
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Additional Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, Snagit, and Teams
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Strong process and detail orientation
- Strong organization and prioritization skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- PBM/health care experience
Minimum Physical Job Requirements
- Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

- Reports to a Manager in the Service Excellence department
Potential pay for this position ranges from $28.37 - $45.19 based on experience and skills.
