Nav exists to help every small business owner succeed. We back business owners because we believe in the power of tight-knit communities and strong local economies. We do this by simplifying business finances and increasing access to business credit for the newest, smallest businesses. Joining Nav means you join a group of passionate and dedicated individuals who love small business owners (and flexible working arrangements!).

As an Editorial Content Manager, you’ll take the lead in creating and managing our editorial content strategy, ensuring that our blog, guides, and other long-form content align with business goals and resonate with our audience. Working closely with our brand, education, and SEO teams, you’ll craft educational resources, news updates, and lead magnets, and repurpose video content into engaging written articles. You’ll have ownership over the editorial strategy and will manage the editorial calendar to keep our content pipeline running smoothly. This role blends writing, editing, and strategic oversight, giving you the opportunity to shape the voice and direction of our content. You will be expected to write in this role.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in content writing, editing, or content strategy.
  • Hands-on experience with SEO and lead generation is a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to manage editorial calendars and coordinate content across teams.
  • Experience editing your own work and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • A passion for storytelling and creating value-driven content that engages and informs.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate complex topics clearly and effectively.
  • Experience with content strategy, calendar management, and SEO best practices.
  • A proactive attitude: You’re organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with content marketing tools (e.g., Payload, Google Analytics, webinar platforms).
  • An interest in developing creative, multi-channel approaches to content.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Content creation: Write and edit high-quality blog posts, educational guides, news updates, and other long-form content.
  • Editing: Edit work from freelance writers and contributors to ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and quality standards.
  • SEO: Collaborate with the SEO team to optimize content for search engines and identify high-impact topics.
  • Content repurposing: Adapt video content into written articles and other formats to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Lead generation: Develop lead magnets and other resources to support marketing campaigns and drive conversions.
  • Webinar coordination: Plan, schedule, and oversee webinars, ensuring a smooth and professional execution.
  • Calendar management: Maintain and oversee the editorial calendar to ensure consistent and timely content delivery.

WHAT WE EMPOWER YOU WITH:

  • Ownership: Lead the editorial strategy, ensuring our content is educational, impactful, and optimized for performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with SEO, PR, marketing, and creative teams to align content with broader company goals.
  • A flexible career path: As you grow, you’ll have opportunities to stretch into other brand and content areas.

Inclusion at Nav:

At Nav, we celebrate what makes our employees unique because the businesses we serve are progressively diverse and distinctly original. Navericks are diverse, side hustlers, immigrants, veterans, queer, and we push generational boundaries. We are college dropouts, PhDs, special needs parents, allies, pet owners and community leaders. Navericks are human. We are committed to upholding a safe, supportive environment where everyone matters. We are committed to making a better future for all of us. We have created a workplace where people of all backgrounds can express their identities authentically. To put it simply, we want you to be proud to be you.

Our Compensation Philosophy is simple but powerful:

At Nav, we are transparent about our total rewards, including pay, across all levels and roles. We believe great, enduring relationships are grounded in trust and transparency. Compensation shouldn’t be a distraction, and employees should understand how pay and career advancement decisions are made. Providing equal pay for equal work is table stakes for being a great place to work. Gender and ethnic inequity should only be something that our children read about in history books. We believe providing Navricks with company ownership, competitive pay, and a range of meaningful benefits is the start of creating a culture where people want to give the best they’ve got — not because they’re simply making money, but because they’ve fallen in love with our vision, mission, values, and team.

During the interview process, your recruiter will be explaining how our rubrics work across all of our total rewards ( base, equity, bonus, perks, and benefit) offerings. The base salary for this role is targeted between $100,000 - $130,000 per year. Final offer amount is determined by your proficiencies within this level.

Our impact on you:

Competitive Pay. Company Ownership. Unlimited Vacation. Benefits Day One. 6 Weeks Paid Parental Leave. Work From Anywhere (yes we were distributed before it was cool). Flexible Work Arrangements. Free Telehealth and Telemental Health For All Employees. Employee Networking and Events. Community Network Groups (women’s, PRIDE, culture). Meaningful Perks and Rewards. Learning and Development Opportunities. Pet Insurance.

A Naverick’s DNA:

  • We look at the future and say “why not”; we see possibilities where others see problems or routines. We show the way ahead and are committed to achieving ambitious goals.
  • We practice straight talk and listen generously to each other with empathy. We value different opinions and point of views. We ensure that we connect outside as well as inside to learn from others and inspire each other.
  • We hold ourselves accountable for delivering results. We choose to not to be a victim of circumstance. We make decisions & take responsibility so that we can act & support each other, rather than adopting defensive, and “finger pointing” behaviors.
  • As leaders we motivate & engage our teams to undertake beyond what they originally thought possible, by developing our teams & creating the conditions for people to grow and empower themselves through enabling & coaching.
