The EDI Application Architect II is responsible for defining, overseeing, and coordinating the development of application solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards, and managing their lifecycle. This role will drive the development of scalable, reusable solutions and provide leadership in the integration of cutting-edge technologies.
Essential Functions:
- Architectural Leadership: Guide the team to ensure consistent, reusable, and scalable EDI solutions, emphasizing architectural best practices across both front-end and back-end services.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with leadership to identify and capitalize on opportunities for enhancing the EDI architecture, aligning with business growth initiatives.
- Design Reviews & Optimization: Review designs to ensure consistency, efficiency, and adherence to architectural standards. Provide recommendations to streamline solutions for better scalability and reusability.
- Code Quality Oversight: Conduct code reviews to enforce architectural patterns, best practices, and maintainable coding standards within the EDI framework.
- End-to-End System Understanding: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the team’s work, considering upstream and downstream components, to ensure cohesive solution delivery.
- Tool & Utility Development: Create proof of concepts, tools, and utilities to simplify repetitive tasks, enhance productivity, and reduce cycle times for the EDI team.
- Consultative Support: Act as a key advisor to the team, offering expertise on current solutions, future enhancements, and ensuring the functionality aligns with architectural goals.
- Performance Monitoring: Track the performance of EDI applications and proactively suggest architectural improvements to optimize infrastructure capacity in response to evolving load requirements.
- Process Documentation & Reporting: Develop and maintain process flows, present findings to leadership, and share insights across the organization to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Solution Ownership: Lead the team’s involvement in solution discussions for incoming work, focusing on creating reusable components (e.g., services) for broader enterprise adoption.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Represent the team in architectural and solution discussions across the organization, contributing to the design of solutions that drive innovation and scalability.
- Other Responsibilities: Perform additional duties as requested, ensuring the architecture supports both current and future business needs.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required; Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 7 years of relevant IT experience, including at least 1 year in an architectural or technical lead role.
- Minimum 3 years in a relevant domain (e.g., software engineering, systems engineering, infrastructure, or business process engineering).
Required Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with .NET technologies, including UI, back-end services, and APIs.
- Proficiency in C# programming.
- Extensive experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP).
- Expertise in MS SQL programming and database management.
- Proven track record in Architecting Solutions, with demonstrable participation in the architecture lifecycle.
Desirable Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to develop, deploy, and scale applications.
- Experience integrating generative AI tools for enhanced application functionality and innovative workflows.
- Knowledge of Edifecs , Facets or Healthcare industry-specific solutions.
- Experience creating DynaTrace dashboards for monitoring performance.
- Familiarity with Tidal job scheduling for job automation and orchestration.

Compensation Range:
$92,300.00 - $161,600.00
CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
