Essential Functions

  • Designs or modifies data models to solve complex database requirements considering business and application needs.  Organizes metadata for use by teams.

  • Plans, conducts and coordinates the design of state-of-the-art data model designs and metadata management.

  • Provides application-level data modeling for project development teams.

  • Assists with creating and maintaining enterprise-wide data standards.

  • Participates in enterprise-wide logical data modeling and leads efforts on assigned data subject areas.

  • Assists with the implementation of metadata management tools.

  • Facilitates formal and informal discussions to support database designs.

  • Participates in the implementation and management of the global metadata repository.

  • Identifies metadata sources, develops metadata management capabilities, monitors metadata quality, and develops common data definitions.

  • Coordinates testing and documentation of the global metadata repository and conducts user interviews to gather metadata requirements to insure business requirements are met.

Base DAE-EDC role:

  • Assess EDC collection requirements per protocol and create study start-up eCRF package based on global eCRF libraries.

  • Design eCRF layout including form dynamics.

  • Program Edit check and Custom Function.

  • Create and configure tSDV technical specifications, Safety Gateway integration specifications and Datamart mapping specifications.

  • Implement EDC coding configuration based on trial defined coding requirements.

  • Perform test and Prod Rave EDC Migration

  • Minimal 3 Yrs of Database build/design exp

Advance DAE-EDC Role (In addition to above):

  • Oversee planning, requirements, and implementation of IWRS integrations to EDC.

  • Serve as subject matter expertise for complex elements of EDC database builds (including integrations).

  • Serve subject matter expertise for complex elements of EDC database builds (including optimal custom functions implementation).

  • Provide training to junior staff on EDC build and migration process and Tools.

  • Participate in process, system, and tool improvement initiatives within clinical data management.

  • Minimal 5 yrs of Database build/design exp needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience

  • Database systems knowledge with a minimum of five (3-5) years IT with two (2) years experience in the data administration area. Req
