eCommerce Lead Architect
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Architect to join our NextGen project team (New eCommerce Platform). In this role, you will oversee and direct all architectural activities, own the NextGen Architecture Blueprint, and guide solution architects. You will collaborate closely with the Enterprise Architecture team, domain architects, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of end-to-end architecture. Your strategic thinking, leadership, and ability to foster innovation will be crucial in creating efficient, future-proof solutions. Your main missions and objectives:

Leading architecture in the NextGen project as the Stream Leader of Architecture: Overseeing and directing all architectural activities within the NextGen project.

Owning the NextGen Architecture Blueprint: Being responsible for the creation, maintenance, and integrity of the architectural blueprint for NextGen.

Guiding NextGen solution architects: Providing direction, mentorship, and support to solution architects working on the NextGen project.

Collaborating with the Enterprise Architecture team to establish and promote the best ways of working within the NextGen Architecture Stream: Working closely with the Enterprise Architecture team to define and advocate for optimal architectural practices.

Establishing strong relationships with domain architects to ensure smooth delivery of end-to-end architecture: Building and maintaining effective working relationships with domain architects to facilitate seamless architectural integration.

Working with other NextGen Stream Leads and Program Management to create the most efficient solutions: Partnering with other stream leads and program managers to develop and implement the most effective architectural solutions.

Creating a framework for collaboration between NextGen solution architects and existing Ecom platform architects and tech leads to exchange knowledge and agree on future-proof solutions: Developing a structured approach for collaboration and knowledge sharing between NextGen and existing Ecom platform teams to ensure sustainable and forward-looking architectural decisions.

Facilitate change management: Makes sure that decisions are made, presented and agreed according to the company’s standards. Documents are properly described, consulted and approved.
Qualifications & Skills:

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in software architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Certifications: Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar are highly desirable.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in architectural frameworks, cloud technologies, microservices, and enterprise integration patterns.

Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of architects and technical professionals.

Project Management: Experience in managing large-scale architectural projects and ensuring their successful delivery.

Microservices Architecture: Knowledge of designing and implementing microservices-based architectures.

Enterprise Integration Patterns: Understanding of integration patterns and best practices for connecting various enterprise systems.

Software Development: Strong background in software development, including languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar.

DevOps Practices: Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation.

Security: Knowledge of security principles and practices, including data protection, encryption, and secure coding.

Data Management: Experience with data architecture, databases (SQL and NoSQL), and data integration techniques.

API Design: Expertise in designing and managing APIs, including RESTful and GraphQL.

Performance Optimization: Skills in optimizing system performance, scalability, and reliability.

Event-Driven Architecture (EDA): Knowledge and experience in designing and implementing event-driven architectures.
