Position Overview:
We have a Maternity Leave opening with one of our favorite school partners in Elmhurst, IL currently in need of a School Social Worker. During the leave, the chosen SSW will support Early Childhood students. The SSW will also manage a caseload of 45-50 students. With a community focus, a highly supportive environment, and other Related Service professionals to lean on, a position doesn’t get better than this!
Location: Elmhurst, IL 60126
Duration: ASAP - 10/4/24.
Hours: M, W, F: 8 am-3 pm, and T, Thurs., 7:40 am-3 pm.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Support Early Childhood students through social, emotional, and academic enrichment programs.
  • Manage a caseload of 45-50 students.
  • Advocate for the emotional, social, and academic well-being of students.
  • Provide counseling (1:1, small group, whole group) to MTSS students. 
  • Address legal issues.
  • Collaborate with other staff, parents, families, and community resources.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies when necessary to ensure student safety and success.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work.
  • LMSW license eligible in the State of Illinois.
  • Eligible Professional Educators License (PEL).
  • Preferred experience in a EC setting is preferred, not required.
