MRK Partners is seeking an experienced Due Diligence Specialist, who will be responsible for providing comprehensive and accurate information to the team to support informed decision-making. This involves in-depth analysis of market conditions, property assessments, financial projections, and regulatory compliance to determine the overall potential of a project.

What you will do:

  1. Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential affordable housing development projects and organizing third party reports for the Project Manager to review.
  2. Analyze market feasibility and provides recommendations, including rental rates, occupancy rates, and competitive analysis to the Project Manager for review.
  3. Analyze and compare sources and uses, income statements, and unit mix scenarios both internally for various assumptions and with outside debt and equity providers
  4. Track and analyze financial documentation, such as cost invoices, for predevelopment planning and bond reimbursements, to present to the Project Manager.
  5. Leads multiple projects concurrently under the guidance of the Project Manager, at varying stages of development while meeting or exceeding deadlines; works with team members across the entire business, including accounting, property management, development, and leadership.
  6. Identify potential risks and challenges associated with development projects and crafts recommendations for remediation for the Project Manager to review.
  7. Act as point person on multiple transactions, maintain accurate and up-to-date projects documentation for senior management.
  8. Leads relationships between vendors and external participants per project on behalf of the Project Manager.
  9. Leads project calls and takes notes for the Project Manager and collaborates with Project Manager to define next steps.
  10. Review engagement and proposals of partners/vendors, under the direction of the Project Manager.
  11. Stay informed about affordable housing regulations, incentives, and industry trends.


Qualifications and Education:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or related field. Relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  2. 3-5 relevant years’ experience, including internships.
  3. Real estate and experience working in multifamily housing environment required.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting applications.
  5. Expert level proficiency in Excel.
  6. Experience working with Monday.com Work OS and RealPage software preferred but not required.
  7. Ability to read and decipher leases, contracts, financials, inspection reports, and title documents.

The salary range for this role is $90,000 - 110,000, based on relevant experience.
