Job Description :
The Optical Fiber R&D team is seeking a talented (APVD) R&D process engineer to oversee the progress of the projects assigned to her/him, including : definition, planning, execution, analysis, qualification, trial reports, and transfers to factories of the optical fiber BU.
Responsabilities :

He participates in defining the projects he is responsible for, edits the programs, monitors their progress, and finalizes the reports.

He initiates and follows up on experiments and conversion actions.

He is in constant contact with the Production and Process Control Service. He spends time in the field to better understand the issues.

He defines the process modifications associated with the projects he is responsible for.

He works on solving occasional problems at the request of the Production Service.

He participates in the development of cost reduction roadmaps for the fiber BU and contributes to innovative ideas.

He may be required to program using engineering software.
Management :

Cross-functional management with the various R&D services of the Optical Fiber BU : the preform and the fiber process control services, maintenance, production, and IT services.

Technical transfers to the 5 production plants of the Fiber BU.
Quality :

He promotes continuous improvement within the factory and reports all observed anomalies.
Safety :

He respects safety instructions and internal regulations. He applies safety instructions and reports all observed anomalies.
