Job summary:
The Master Training Scheduler is a key personnel position essential for ensuring the seamless coordination and execution of training programs at the Naval Construction Training Center (NCTC) Gulfport. This role requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage complex schedules and work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including the Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineering (CSFE), Naval Education and Training Command (NETC), and the Naval Construction Group Two (NCG2).
The Master Training Scheduler serves as the single point of contact for all scheduling-related matters pertaining to “A” (Apprentice Training), C1 (Advanced Specialized Skill Training), D1 (Professional Development Functional Skill Training), F1 (Rating-Specific Functional Training), and G1 (Pipeline Skill Progression Training) courses associated with the Seabee basic, intermediate, and advanced training programs.
Description: Roles and responsibilities include:
- On-site support contract manager; coordinate and lead assigned personnel.
- Oversee the development, approval and execution of training curriculum and schedules.
- Act as the primary liaison with CSFE and NETC to align training requirements, including the number of classes, areas of instruction, class sizes, and schedule dates.
- Develop, submit, and oversee the implementation of weekly training schedules for C1, D1, F1, and G1 courses, ensuring all schedules are approved and communicated to stakeholders.
- Conduct and lead weekly scheduling meetings with schoolhouse departments, course coordinators, and tenant command training personnel to align on scheduling priorities and resolve issues.
- Anticipate and resolve scheduling conflicts through strategic planning and stakeholder engagement, ensuring uninterrupted training delivery and operational excellence.
- Prepare and present detailed briefs and visual presentations, including monthly metrics on facility utilization, training schedules, and student performance, to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Respond to all correspondence and inquiries regarding course scheduling, serving as the central contact for course-related issues.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records w/in essential systems, including Navy Integrated Training Resources and Administration System (NITRAS), Corporate Enterprise Training Activity Resource Systems (CETARS), and Master Course Reference File.
- Extract, analyze, and present data from systems such as NITRAS, CETARS, and eNTRS to generate reports, track training metrics, and provide actionable insights to command leadership.
- Assist the Business/Financial Management Department with scheduling-related cost data, Equipment Replacement Plans (ERPs), and information for reimbursable billing.
Minimum Requirements:
- US Citizen
- Secret Clearance
- Certifications: NEC 805A or 9502
- Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years in Navy SEABEE Training; NITRAS and CETARS
- Skillset: Leadership, Communication, Organization, Critical Analysis & Conflict Resolution
