What We Need

The DME System Product Analyst will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Systems Configuration. This team member is responsible for maintaining the overall structure of the Synapse Technology Framework. This role will involve monitoring, updating, and managing the day-to-day operations of the Synapse Technology Framework while regularly collaborating with teams including Prescriber Adoption Leadership, Fulfill, Vendor Network Management, and Revenue Cycle Management. 

What You Will Do

  • Maintain the overall structure of the Synapse Technology Framework as it pertains to product ordering, configuration, and qualification. 
  • Monitor all DMERCs for updates (LCD, PA, and NCD notifications) and adjust the system accordingly. 
  • Review all Commercial Payor contracts and formularies for HCPCS changes and upload them into the Synapse Product Trees to ensure accuracy for downstream vendors and billing functions. 
  • Add new HCPCS items into the appropriate Synapse Product Trees within payer/contract guidelines. 
  • Add or remove any ICD10 codes that affect how an end user qualifies a patient for an item in the system. 
  • Update the Synapse Technology Framework Q&A, allowed units, and product tree layouts as payer/contract updates affect how users qualify patients when ordering HCPCS. 
  • Update the Synapse Technology Framework upon receiving notifications regarding product recalls, discontinued items, updated or retired SKUs, nationwide back orders, and other relevant updates. 
  • As products change, update product images in the Synapse Product Trees to maintain accuracy for end users. 
  • Regularly interact with the Revenue Cycle Management team to adjust the Synapse Technology Framework, mitigating future denials, deferrals, or audits. 
  • Meet with the Prescriber Adoption Leadership team to discuss "Voice of the Customer" feedback regarding enhancements, updates, or changes aimed at improving the customer experience. 
  • Collaborate with the Fulfill team and the Product Information Analyst, DME Catalog, to ensure system outputs meet the needs of Fulfillment and downstream vendors. 
  • Work closely with the Vendor Network Management team to provide feedback on opportunities for efficiencies and cost-saving practices. 
  • Hold a critical position on the System Configuration Committee, discussing areas of opportunity and contributing to decisions affecting various divisions within the organization.

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 1 year experience in the durable medical equipment (DME) industry.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and ability to learn department and job-specific software systems.

  • Demonstrate analytical skills when problem-solving.
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
