JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for a unicorn. We know that. But we believe you’re out there somewhere.
As a HTML display designer & developer you know how to combine creativity, design & tech (coding). You can translate data, insights and storyboards / creative concepts into the best designs for display ads and bring them to life with code.
You have a solid knowledge of traditional graphic design & UI & UX design and a natural feeling for shape, color, typography and motion. You're enthusiastic about applying various design principles to develop effective display ads. You are eager to learn on the spot and quickly adapt to the rapidly changing (web) environments and technical specifications
During your downtime, you enjoy exploring the latest plugins or AI innovations that can streamline your workflow, and you're proactive in sharing your insights with the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Content Creation: Produce inspiring and well-crafted designs that bring the display campaigns for our clients to life in a digital-first environment.
- Be able to work independently and collaborate with teams of designers, art directors, programmatic strategists, account and project managers to come up with creative concepts and designs.
- Work across a variety of asset types: display, HTML & rich media.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, tools, and technologies.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Essential:
- Technical coding & front-end experience: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (GSAP library)
- 5+ years experience within an ad agency creating and developing display ads
- Motion graphic design & animation
- Ability to adapt & learn technical specifications and requirements for different types of platforms (e.g. Weborama, Google Studio & DV360)
- Experience with:
- Figma/Sketch
- Photoshop
- After Effects
- Premiere
- Design & build the best possible ads within strict creative & technical boundaries (e.g. for some platforms the max. MB per asset is very low, but you need and want to create the best possible display ad anyway)
- Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team and clients
- Ability to remain focused under pressure within a fast-paced environment
- Gets excited about learning new things and exploring new formats
- Attention to visual details
Nice to have:
- Interest in creative automation technologies
- Experience with tooling such as but not limited to: Celtra, Smartly, Cape, Storyteq
- Experience with motion (After Effects).
