We are currently looking for a Dispatcher who will join our team based in Vado Ligure and will be hired to work on shifts.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To ensure that all operations are executed in accordance to the priorities set by the Shift Manager, to report any problem in operations and to implement the agreed changes to solve the problems;
  • To ensure the optimum utilization of all equipment;
  • To ensure smooth and speedy movement of containers to and/or from rail siding and external road traffic vehicles transfer area;
  • To update the system with equipment identification on a continual basis;
  • To monitors the dispatch queues to identify potential clashes and delays in the yard;
  • To manually dispatche work instructions that are not in an automatic dispatch queue;
  • Responsible to elaborate reports requested by the management;

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • High school diploma and a college degree in Logistics, Operations Management, or related discipline;
  • Italian at mothertoungue level, proficiency with English language
  • In depth knowledge of logistics, yard planning/lay-out and container terminal operations;
  • Effective analytical, numeracy, reporting and problem-solving skills;
  • Proactive approach to improve systems and procedures that will lead to operational efficiency;
  • High level of planning and organizational skills;
  • Able to work in a team
  • IT skills
  • Flexibility
  • Accuracy

Job location: Vado Ligure, no relocation or VISA support provided.
