About the Job

Life360 is looking for an experienced leader to head up our Technical Program Management team. Reporting to the CTO, this role will be responsible for ensuring all of our major programs across the company meet their objectives while holding teams accountable for their delivery. You and your team will be the primary drivers of defining and evolving our SDLC and internal processes to optimize how work gets done. You will work with cross-functional partners across the organization and will be responsible for presenting updates to executive leadership. You will manage our team of Technical Program Managers growing their careers and setting expectations for how they engage with teams across the business.

The US-based salary range for this position is $206,500 to $304,000. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary - therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.

What You’ll Do

  • Ability to translate organizational goals into actionable roadmaps.

Functional Management:

  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate program success and adapt plans as needed.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Experience working with product managers, engineers, designers, and leadership.
  • Skilled in aligning competing priorities and negotiating trade-offs while holding teams accountable

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Adept at working across engineering, product, marketing, and business functions.
  • Capable of building partnerships and fostering trust among teams.

Problem Solving:

  • Proficiency in identifying bottlenecks, troubleshooting issues, and delivering resolutions.
  • Strong decision-making under uncertainty and pressure.

Customer Focus:

  • Ability to keep user needs central to program decisions and outcomes.
  • Experience ensuring program delivery aligns with business and customer value.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience. Technical degree preferred.
  • 10+ years in technical program management or related roles.
  • 5+ years of experience managing a team or a department of technical program managers.
  • Experience delivering mobile applications and/or consumer hardware.
  • Superior communications skills: interpersonal, written, and presentation
  • Superior organizational skills: note-taking, formal documentation, and task assignment
  • Proven ability to understand and breakdown complex, multifaceted programs and projects into manageable pieces, organize cross-functionally and drive execution
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and starting from "scratch"
  • Experience with program management tools.
  • Experience working as part of a team, using analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and follow industry trends
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a growing department and cross-functionally with members at all levels of the organization
